Jefferson County Courthouse
Built in 1892, has a 124'-4" tower, 20 feet square with an observatory at 80 feet. The bell and clock, installed in 1892, were built to order. The clock with 10-foot faces was illuminated in 1912 when the courthouse was wired with electricity. |

The Hastings Building
Built in 1889, the Hastings Building is considered to be the most elegant building in the city. The building, designed by Elmer H. Fisher of Seattle has double floors throughout, a conservative Romanesque style, and an interior court with a skylight. Enoch E. Plummer's 1890 ground floor store contained one of the most complete stores north of San Francisco. |
